Michael Annett Gets Penalized For Infractions From Iowa

Michael Annett has been penalized by NASCAR for infractions at Iowa Speedway.

NASCAR penalized Annett on Tuesday after the No.43 team failed a post race inspection at Iowa on Saturday after the NASCAR Nationwide Series race.The No.43 team was penalized for violations to the NASCAR rule book in sections 12-1, 12-4J, 20-A-12.8.1B.

The No.43 failed inspection for actions detrimental to stock car racing in section 12-1. The team also violated sections 12-4j, any determination by NASCAR officals that race equipment used in the event does not conform to NASCAR rules. As well as failing to meet minimum front car heights as stated in section 20-A-12.8.1B.

NASCAR issued several penalties around the No.43 team Nationwide team. Crew Chief Philippe Lopez was fined $10,000 awas placed on probation until December 31st. Car chief Michael Wright was placed on probation along with Lopez until the year’s end. Car owner Sandra Tuner and driver Michael Annett were docked six championship points in owner and driver championship points.

Annett had a fourth place finish on Saturday at Iowa Speedway. He is currently in sixth place in the Nationwide Series points standings in his second season racing in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.
