Kyle Busch Returns to the No.18 Truck
Kyle Busch will be returning to his No.18 truck the upcoming Labor Day weekend.
Busch will be making his return to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series a little less than a year since his last truck race. The announcement was made in a statement released on the Kyle Busch Motorsports websiteon Monday. Busch will race in the upcoming Jeff Foxworthy’s Grit Chips 200 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
About a year since his last race, Busch makes his return since the 2011 Winstar World Casino 350K at Texas Motor Speedway. Busch has not been behind the wheel of the No.18 truck since last season, when he decided to race the full NASCAR Sprint Cup Series schedule with a partial Nationwide Series schedule.
Busch is the owner of his truck’s team, whichhas been around since the 2010 season. During the team’s first two seasons, Busch raced the No.18 truck to help establish his team. While he was behind the wheel of the No.18 truck, Busch made 32 starts.
From 2010 to 2011, Busch accomplished 14 wins, eight poles and 24 top-five finishes. With Busch behind the wheel of his own truck, he won the 2010 Owner’s Championship.
The last time Busch paid a visit to Victory Lane was on Sept. 24, 2011, when the truck series last raced at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
In his past seven truck series races at Atlanta, Busch has won four and has seven top ten finishes.
