Michael Waltrip Racing has added another sponsor to its NASCAR Sprint Cup race teams.  Peak Motor Oil will be an associate sponsor on all of MWR’s cars for 2013, 2014 and 2015.  Peak Motor Oil will also be a primary sponsor on the No. 15 Camry driven by Clint Bowyer for three races.

“In 1988 I was one of the spokesmen for Peak Antifreeze,” Said Michael Waltrip “fast forward 25 years later and Peak Motor Oil will be on our car. I love the history and heritage of Peak.”

“Seems like ever since I made this change to Michael Waltrip Racing it’s almost daily there is more good news around the corner and this is certainly another example of that.” Clint said, “Having another primary sponsor on the 15 car is so important in this day and age.  So Very proud to represent the Peak folks like Michael said I am excited about the cars I think its beautiful race cars will look good on the race track.”

Clint Bowyer and his sponsor 5-hour ENERGY left his previous team for Michael Waltrip Racing.  Since moving, Clint and MWR were able to win two races this year.  This has enabled them to make the Chase for the Sprint Cup and because of those two races they are seated sixth in the standings to start off the Chase.

“You know the 15 car wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for the leap of faith that both Clint Bowyer and 5-hour ENERGY took to join our organization last year.”  Michael said “So we are really thankful that Clint and 5-hour came to MWR and gave us this opportunity to sit in front of (Peak) and tell them that we would love to have Peak join that team as well.”
