Tony Stewart Gains New Sponsor In Bass Pro Shops

Jeremy Brevard-US PRESSWIRE

Things are starting to come together for Stewart-Haas Racing as Tony Stewart has landed a new primary sponsor for the 2013 NASCAR season.

Stewart has gained a new sponsor when Stewart-Haas Racing and Bass Pro Shops agreed to a deal for next season. The announcement was made at the Bass Pro Shop headquarters in Springfield, Missouri. The official announcement was made at Talladega Superspeedway Friday.

Bass Pro Shop has sponsored Stewart in the past, as they did sponsor him for the 2012 NASCAR All Star race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Bass Pro Shops joins Stewart-Haas Racing as Office Depot departs from the team after 2012. Stewart’s other sponsor is Mobil 1. In 2013 Bass Pro Shops will be as the primary sponsor for the No.14 car for 18 races, and Mobil 1 will be featured on 11 races as mentioned in a statement by SHR after the announcement.

Prior to signing onto a new partnership with Stewart-Haas Racing, Bass Pro Shops was the primary sponsor for Jamie McMurray and Earnhardt-Ganassi Racing. The 2012 Cup season ends the partnership between the two.

Earlier in the week Stewart’s teammate Ryan Newman gained Quicken Loans as his primary sponsor for the 2013 season. Newman just like Stewart lost one of his primary sponsors for next season when ARMY announced its departure from NASCAR earlier in the season.
