Nelson Piquet Jr. grabs the pole for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series WinStar World Casino 350 at Texas Motor Speedway.  Nelson had the fastest truck in both practices (181.574 and 182.113 MPH) and was able to back that up by getting the pole even though his qualifying lap was slower at 180.246 MPH.

Nelson will drive the No. 30 TAG Heuer Avant-Garde Eyewear Chevrolet for Tuner Motorsports.  He currently is 7th in the standings 90 points from his team mate and the current points leader James Buescher.

This is Nelson’s third career pole, his other poles cam at Rockingham and Pocono. James Buescher will start second, Kyle Busch third, Miguel Paludo fourth and Joey Coulter fifth.

Chris Fontaine and Blake Koch did not make the race.

The WinStar World Casino 350 will be Friday November 2.  It will be on the Speed Channel at 7:30 PM ET.
