Another of NASCAR’s Series is ready to go racing in the 2013 season.
Over the weekend NASCAR released the 2013 schedule for the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, introducing two new tracks on the schedule. For 2013 the Series will feature it’s drivers racing in 15 races in 13 different tracks for the series 27th season.
For the new 2013 season the series will be making it’s first appearance at Five Flags Speedway, the home track for the Snowball Derby. It will be the return of NASCAR at the half-mile track in Pensacola on April 13. Also in 2013 NASCAR will return to Road Atlanta as the K&N Pro Series East will race in he 2.54-mile road course on Oct.18.
The new 2013 schedule will put the drivers to the test with a variety of tracks featuring short tracks, road courses and speedways.
The new season for the K&N Pro Series East will begin with the inaugural UNOH Battle at the Beach exhibition race in a .4-mile track on Daytona International Speedway on Feb.19, in which will also be a combination race featuring the K&N Pro Series West. The regular season is set to begin at Bristol Motor Speedway on March 16.
Within the 2013 schedule the K&N Pro Series East will race on select dates with some of NASCAR’s national series such as the Trucks and Nationwide Series as well as the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. The K&N Pro Series East will pair with those series at Bristol, Iowa, New Hampshire, and Dover. For the race at Road Atlanta the K&N Pro Series East will join the American Le Mans Series for the race weekend.
