After spending several years of his career with one team, Tony Eury Jr. will get another opportunity heading into a new season.

The newly formed Swan Racing announced on Monday that Eury had signed on to become the new crew chief for the No.30 team and David Stremme for the 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season. The announcement was made just days after the newly formed team was announced.

“I am really impressed with the team Swan Racing is building and I am proud to be part of it,” said Eury in a statement.

Swan Racing owner Brandon Davis believes the addition of Eury Jr. will help in the team’s search for long-term success.

“We have a long–term vision for Swan Racing and the addition of Tony Jr. is another step in that process. Tony brings a world of experience to Swan Racing and will be part of our long-term success,” said Davis in a statement.

Swan Racing will be the latest team that Eury will be working for in his NASCAR career which began in 1991 working for Dale Earnhardt Inc. until 2007. In the 2008 season Eury became the crew chief for Dale Earnhardt Jr. at Hendrick Motorsports.

Over the last few NASCAR seasons Eury had been working with JR Motorsports in the NASCAR Nationwide Series as the crew chief of Danica Patrick and the No.7 team. He was also the co-owner of JR Motorsports.  His time with the team came to an end during the 2012 season.
