With a new year come new opportunities and for Justin Allgaier he will get another opportunity to race.

On Monday the newly rebranded Turner Scott Motorsports announced that Allgaier would be returning next season to race in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. As Allgaier returns to the team he will remain in the No.31 car with BRANDT returning as his primary sponsor.

Following the 2012 season Allgaier finished sixth in the Nationwide Series points standings, just one spot out of the top five drivers who were recognized during the series year end banquet. The final races of the season did not go so well for Allgaier and with his return to TSM, it allows him the chance to improve and another shot at the Nationwide championship.

The 2009 Nationwide Series Rookie of the Year captured a win at Montreal, six top-five and 19 top-10 finishes in the 2012 season.

Following the news of Allgaier’s return to Turner Scott Motorsports, on Tuesday the team announced that Scott Zipadelli would be joining the No.31 team as the new crew chief. Zipadelli has been a part of 190 races in the series and has been to victory lane before with one win and 47 top-10 finishes.

With TSM as his newest team, Zipadelli mentioned in the team statement that he was excited about his opportunity with the team and that he’s looking forward to working with Allgaier.

“I’m definitely looking forward to working with Justin [Allgaier]. I’ve paid attention to his progress and skill level over the years,” said Zipadelli in the statement. “I think he’s very talented and that our personalities will complement each other well.”
