The upcoming 2013 NASCAR season will feature Kyle Larson making his move into one of NASCAR’s top series.
According to ESPN, Larson will be making his NASCAR Nationwide Series debut in 2013 and will attempt to race the entire schedule with Turner Scott Motorsports. In 2013, Larson will be behind the wheel of the No.32 Chevrolet for TSM in a partnership with Earnhardt Ganassi Racing, Larson currently is a development driver for EGR.
Larson, the current NASCAR K&N East Series champion will make his first Nationwide Series start at the season opener at Daytona International Speedway. Before Larson makes his first Nationwide start at Daytona, he will get his first start at Daytona in the ARCA race, as well as the “Battle at the Beach” all-star race as reported by the Associated Press.
With the new opportunity in NASCAR, Larson’s move follows his championship season in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East as he captured the title and Rookie of the Year honors. During the end of the 2012 season Larson made his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut with TSM where Larson captured three top-10 finishes in four races. Throughout 2012 he raced in 123 races in various racing series and won 30.
Larson is the latest member of the NASCAR Next 9 to get the opportunity to move into either of NASCAR’s top three series. With the opportunity to run the full Nationwide Series schedule it makes him a top competitor for Rookie of the Year honors and just one of many drivers to watch in the new season.
