Greg Biffle and 3M Support Red Cross Month
For the sixth year in a row, 3M the sponsor of the NASCAR No. 16 Roush Fenway Racing Ford driven by Greg Biffle have made a generous donation to the Red Cross in support of Blood donation. The No. 16 will be sporting a special Red Cross theme this weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
What a great time to put Red Cross on the car, March is Red Cross month. NASCAR and its teams are not new to supporting a great many causes. Greg Biffle, 3M, and Roush Fenway racing support the Red Cross.
“As a blood donor, I can save a life – and meeting children who have benefitted really drives home the point.” said Biffle. “The gift of a blood donation cannot be replaced by anything else in the world, and it means a world of difference to those in need.”
Although there has only been two races this season the No. 16 is sixth in the standings and ready for Las Vegas. Greg Biffle has a driver rating of 106.3 the fourth best of all active drivers and has an average finish of 13.4. Expect Greg to have a great run at Las Vegas and perhaps put the Red Cross Racing Ford in victory lane.
All blood types are needed to ensure an adequate supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license, or two other forms of positive identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age (16 with parental permission in some states), weigh at least 110 pounds and are generally in good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements. Visit redcrossblood.org for more information.
Greg Biffle said, “I’m jacked up about heading to Vegas. One, I love to gamble, and two, I love that race track. We run really well there. We’ve got the American Red Cross on the car this weekend and I just can’t wait to get there. It takes a lot of things to win at Vegas. Track position is key and you need to have the right pit stop at the end. We’ve been really close to winning in the Cup car before and hopefully this is it.”
If you can’t get to Las Vegas Motor Speedway the race will be on FOX Sunday, March 10th at 2:30 PM ET.
Watch for the No. 16 Red Cross Racing Ford this weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Better yet stop by your local Red Cross and donate some blood.
