The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series has made its way to Las Vegas and the odds are in Brad Keselowski‘s favor.

On Friday, the qualifying session for the Kobalt Tools 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway was cancelled due to rain. For the race on Sunday, the starting line-up was set on Friday by the 2012 owner points, thus giving Keselowski a spot on the front row and the pole award. Joining Keselowski on the front row will be Clint Bowyer followed by Jimmie Johnson, Kasey Kahne and Greg Biffle to round out the top five.

To close out the top 10 are Denny Hamlin, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Kevin Harvick, Tony Stewart and Jeff Gordon.

Heading into the race weekend at Las Vegas, current points leader Johnson and recent winner at Phoenix Carl Edwards has a great opportunity to continue their latest success. Johnson and Edwards are previous race winners at the track with Johnson having four past victories against Edwards’ two. Both drivers have some of the better finishes at the track against the rest of the competition with Johnson averaging a 9.8 and Edwards at 10.3.

Past race winners such as Gordon, Matt Kenseth and Kyle Busch are looking to repeat past success and turn it into success in the point standings.

Meanwhile, current defending Sprint Cup Series champion Keselowski hopes to continue his latest success in defending his championship after two top five finishes. He wants to add a win into his 2013 statistics. The current champ will start of in the front of the pack and lead the field to the green on Sunday afternoon.
