Richard Childress Racing’s newest driver is getting married. Brian Scott, 25, is going to be a married man rather soon. He announced via Facebook that he and longtime girlfriend, Whitney Kay, are now engaged.

Scott is off to a hot start in the NASCAR Nationwide Series and has emerged as a serious title contender for the first time in his NASCAR career. It’s clear that making the move over from Joe Gibbs Racing has definitely paid off for the Boise, ID native. He’s proving that when given a good race car, he simply won’t wreck it. Over the years, Scott’s been labeled as one of the NASCAR Nationwide Series drivers that constantly wrecks and doesn’t have much of a future in the sport.
However, one could compare his situation to Paul Menard. Scott has sponsorship from Shore Lodge whenever another sponsor won’t be on his car. The company is located near his hometown in McCall, ID and is evidently owned by his father. Many believe that Scott doesn’t belong in the sport due to his lack of success. Yet, he’s still able to continue racing at a competitive level, even with all of the criticism.
Now, Scott is getting married. He already has a daughter and every NASCAR fan knows that getting married just brings a driver’s confidence level to an all-time high.
