Jeb Burton is on the Pole at Rockingham Speedway

For the second week in a row Jeb Burton was the fastest in NASCAR Camping World Truck Series qualifying.  Jeb Burton wasn’t the fastest in both practices but was able to find something during qualifying in order to be the class the field.  His time of 24.505 seconds (146.909 MPH) was .055 seconds faster than James Buescher. Jeb Burton won the Keystone 21 Means 21 Pole Award.

Andy Seuss qualifying for his first Truck race in the No. 28 wrecked in turn two during his qualifying lap.  He did not make the race. Spencer Gallagher, T.J. bell, and Clay Greenfield also did not make the race.

James Buescher will start second, then Kyle Larson, Chase Elliott, and Matt Crafton fifth.

This is the first of seven stand-alone races for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.  This is the second race for the series at Andy Hillenburg’s revitalized Rockingham Speedway.  The historical Rockingham Speedway is a one mile high banked oval.  Since it is less than 1.1 miles in length we will again have some drivers who are 16 and 17 in the field.  Chase Elliott (17) and Erik Jones (16).

When Matt Crafton starts the race he will be breaking Terry Cook’s record for most Camping World Truck Series Starts at 297.

Johnny Sauter has won the first two truck series races and he is also going a new record of three victories in a row.

If you cannot get to Rockingham Speedway the race will be on the Speed Channel on Sunday April 14th at 2:00 PM ET.
