This weekend, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series heads to the Monster Mile of Dover International Speedway for the Fed-Ex 400 benefitting Autism Speaks. Last week in the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte, the Fantasy NASCAR field had its superstars that were predictable.

This week at Dover, there are also a few stronger drivers which are your best bets to put on your fantasy team this week. Two sure bets this week on the high end cost-wise are Jimmie Johnson and Carl Edwards. Johnson has seven wins here over the course of his career, and has brought the mastery of this track to a new level.

As the winner of this event last year, he has high odds to come out strong this week. While he is certainly a solid pick, he is the most expensive driver.

Edwards is Johnson’s runner-up at the moment in the points standing, and surprisingly has a slightly better-than-average finish at the Monster Mile. He can be counted on to have a strong finish this week. Now, a win would be more surprising, but he should be a boon to your team.

Some gambles that are hard to take will be two other favorites to win this weekend, Brad Keselowski and Kyle Busch, who appear unsafe after their recent finishes. Reigning champion Keselowski won here in the Chase last year because of a brilliant fuel strategy, and Busch will be attempting a triple-header sweep here this weekend.

Unfortunately both of these guys have been inconsistent this year, and it’s hard to gamble on them actually having a good weekend at the Monster Mile.
