Kyle Busch Wins The NASCAR Nationwide Series Pole At Atlanta

Kyle Busch continues to have his way in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, as he will lead the filed to the green flag.

Busch won the pole for Saturday’s Great Clips-Grit Chips 300 at Atlanta Motor Speedway when he posted a qualifying lap of 180.563 MPH in 30.704 seconds. The pole award at Atlanta is Busch’s seventh Nationwide Series pole in 2013.

Heading into Saturday night’s race, Busch will attempt to capture his 10th Nationwide Series win of the season.

Joining Busch on the front row will be Austin Dillon followed by Trevor Bayne, Kasey Kahne and Regan Smith.

The 2013 NASCAR Nationwide Series season has seen dominance from Busch for much of the entire season. He has won the most poles within all the drivers and has led many laps within several races. Busch has been the guy to beat throughout the entire season and has been the driver within the way of the Nationwide Series drivers.

Busch may have nothing to lose within the series but it makes it harder for the guys competing for the Nationwide Series championship.

Going into Atlanta the race for the championship is within a tight battle among the top six drivers in the point standings. Sam Hornish Jr, Dillon, Elliott Sadler, Smith, Justin Allgaier and Brian Vickers are each within at least 40 points of each other. As the season continues to wind down, things will be getting interesting within their championship battle.
