NASCAR to Host After the Lap in Las Vegas for 5th Straight Year; Sponsored by Ford and Coca-Cola

The NASCAR season is sadly coming to an end. Well, it may not be too sad for some drivers and crews that haven’t had the best of seasons.

However, for NASCAR fans throughout the country, it means a two month period of not knowing what to do with your entire weekend when NASCAR isn’t on. You all know exactly what I’m talking about, we’ve all gone through it.

NASCAR will attempt to stretch out the offseason for an extra week as they’ll be bringing back After the Lap.’ This is a program that gives fans the opportunity to join in the postseason ceremonies with drivers and teams in Las Vegas.

Besides this cool opportunity for fans, they’ll also be able to win several prizes. Fans can enter the NASCAR After the Lap Sweepstakes until November 17 with a chance to win a grand prize for two winners. The two lucky fans will receive a VIP trip for themselves as well as another person to go to NASCAR After the Lap in 2014, plus a trip to the 2014 Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte or 2014 Ford EcoBoost 400 in Homestead.

Not only that, but another lucky fan will win a 2014 Ford F-150 Tremor.

Remember last year at NASCAR After the Lap, Jeff Gordon showed off his wacky dance moves. What can he and the other 12 drivers in the NASCAR Chase for the Sprint Cup do to top that? Truly, Las Vegas has done a great job hosting champions week.

As someone who participated in these activities in New York City for roughly five years before they moved to Vegas, it was clear that New York City just didn’t care about NASCAR in the middle of the freezing cold. Well, at least until Jimmie Johnson was in the middle of Times Square standing on top of the Hard Rock Cafe with Chad Knaus.
