The upcoming 2014 NASCAR season might be featuring a few new changes within the sport, but for Brad Keselowski, his ride will have a few changes of its own.
The 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion will be heading into the new season with a few new primary sponsors. On Wednesday Team Penske announced that Wurth would become a primary sponsor for Keselowski for four races. Along with Wurth, Alliance Truck Parts will also become a primary sponsor on the No.2 Ford for eight races.
Wurth will be making its debut with Keselowski as a primary sponsor at the race at Auto Club Speedway, meanwhile Alliance Truck Parts will debut at the Phoenix International Raceway race in March.
Miller Lite, who has been Keselowski’s primary sponsor, will go from sponsoring the entire season to 24 races.
Both Wurth and Alliance Truck Parts might be new as a primary sponsor for Keselowski and the Blue Deuce, but not for Team Penske. Both sponsors have been with the team over the last couple of seasons. Both were sponsors for Sam Hornish Jr. in the Nationwide Series, Alliance Truck Parts joined in 2011, meanwhile Wurth in 2012.
With some new addition sponsors for Keselowski and Penske within the Cup Series, it’s a win-win situation for everyone involved. For Team Penske, they get to keep their sponsors and let the partnership grow by taking the commitment into the Cup Series. For Keselowski, he gets to have more backing and support as he gets a fresh start in 2014.
