All 11 Formula One teams have now unveiled and began testing their 2014 cars. With little to go from in terms of speed currently, the focus turns to the visuals of each and every team's model.

F1 is a sport which prides itself not only on speed and power, but the beauty that comes from the genius minds of some of the finest car designers on earth. The biggest rule changes in years, however, means that 2014's grid was due to have some drastic changes, with the aerodynamic bodywork forced to be altered to new designs. That inevitably meant we'd see some strange results, and I was spot-on with that prediction.

The new regulations for nose changes means that the teams have come away with a variation of 'faces' for their cars. No car looks the same from the front in 2014. But whether it is a beauty or a simply ugly car, it won't matter come the start of the season. The one factor that anyone cares about then is pace.

But the belief has been for years now that if it looks fast, it should be fast. That doesn't provide hope for those who have released cars for 2014 that are possibly the ugliest offering since the sport advanced into the modern era. However, 2014 sees a bigger focus on engines for the first time in decades and a new understanding of just what is quick.

As motorsport fans await the return of F1 for yet another season, I've compiled my views on just who has the sexiest-looking car and who has the worst in a ranking. Designers of the sport: grit your teeth, bite your finger nails and prepare -- this could be upsetting!

11. Caterham

This is the one that caught everyone's attention when released. Just what on earth is going on with the front wing? Is it a frog? Is it a snow plow? No, it's Caterham's offering for 2014.

10. Torro Rosso

Look carefully and you will see that the nose on the Torro Rosso has an extension that looks simply ridiculous. Plus, we all know we'll get annoyed when we get this car mixed up with the Red Bull all year because of the paint job.

9. Ferrari

Ferrari may have a history of attractive cars, but the nose on their 2014 model is a cross between an elephant and a vacuum cleaner.

8. Lotus

We've seen little of the Lotus, but the images released so far reveal a nose that is really quite unique. The "fork", as some have called it, is simply ugly.

7. Mercedes

The 2014 Silver Arrow is nice on its sides and rear, but the busy front wing and nose looks like it was once broken, which means it's nothing special.

6. Williams

It's a bit square and has a plain dark blue paint job. I hope it's less boring than it looks!

5. McLaren

Despite having a nose that is really unique, McLaren made a car that somehow still looks really nice. The return to the black and silver color scheme looks decent too.

4. Force India

The fresh new paint job looks great, and it's only the high nose design which keeps it from beating the rest.

3. Marussia

With little on-track success, the Northampton, UK-based team will be glad to know that their car looks great. Its low-profile unveiling wasn't just because of the lack of media attention, it's because unlike so many other 2014 cars, it has no strikingly ugly features.

2. Red Bull

Adrian Newey has designed a car yet again that looks not only slick, but rapid. You can't really notice any difference at first glance between the car and its predecessors, which is good because they were all beautiful. They just need to get its engine working now.

1. Sauber

Sauber's own unveiling shots with an urban backdrop and dark lighting suggested that the car wouldn't look so great on track, but even with the drastic nose changes for 2014, the "black beauty" is exactly that: simple, slick and stylish.
