There are crazies among us. Just ask NASCAR fan Steve Hamman.

Mr. Hamman is reportedly the victim of a stabbing, via his own wife. Why? Because he ‘worships’ NASCAR. That’s right, a man has been stabbed, not over another woman, but over a bunch of race cars.

The story goes something like this: Stephanie Hamman (wife) crashed her car into a church doorway and then called here husband for help. He goes to the church and finds her lying on the altar. When he goes to see if she’s alright, Ms. Hamman proceeds to stab him in the chest with a large kitchen knife.

Mr. Hamman then reportedly went back to his residence, which was apparently close by, and proceeded to call 911 for help. Luckily, it sounds like he’s going to be fine.

But when it comes to Ms. Hamman, not so much. She’s currently in custody and has been charged with attempted first-degree murder and felony vandalism.

The kicker in this whole bizarre tale is that Ms. Hamman claimed to be in contact with God and the Devil during the whole ordeal. She reportedly told her husband that the Devil was in her before she stabbed him. She also claimed to be under the influence of marijuana and that somehow the substance allowed her to communicate with God, and that God told her everything would work out. As long as your husband doesn’t worship NASCAR?

Interesting, very interesting. At least we know that Ms. Hamman will be going to jail for awhile. It’s for the best, sounds like she needs to clear her head.
