Bulls Defeat Jazz, Head to New Orleans
The Bulls found their winning ways in Utah in a hard fought game with the Jazz. They forced 15 turnovers, took care of the basketball and played good defense.
For me, the key to this one was the defense. Call me old fashioned, but I trust the old philosophy of “defense wins championships” and the Bulls showed they can do it. They held the Jazz to 39.8 percent shooting from the field and were pretty impressive for me.
Boozer didn’t receive a very nice welcome back to the place he played for so long. The crowd was hostile, and booed him every chance they got. It was a very playoff like atmosphere, which made this win even sweeter.
After the victory the Bulls had an off day and will play the Hornets tonight on WGN. This should be another tough game, as the Hornets are no slouch of a team.
I’m going to stick with the Bulls D in this one, and I think they’ll get the win and finish up this five game road trip with a winning record.
I’m going to pick a little bit of a sleeper here and say Kyle Korver and Taj Gibson have good nights. I think Korver will be hot from beyond the arch and really lift the offense.
Prediction: Bulls: 104, Hornets: 93. Go Bulls!
