The Thunder headed into San Antonio to take on an always tough Spurs team.
The Thunder got off to a hot start in the first quarter, scoring 37 points, including 13 by Russell Westbrook. Thunder led by 6 after 1. In the second quarter, fortunes changed. The Thunder went up 8 early, but struggled for the rest of the half after that. The Spurs used a 17-2 run to end the half, and the Thunder were down 11 at half. The third quarter wasn’t much better for the Thunder, as the team struggled to make shots, while the Spurs continued to knock down shot consistently. Thunder were down 8 after 3. In the fourth quarter, the Thunder got off to a good start, and James Harden hit a 3 with just over 7 minutes left to tie the game at 94. The Spurs would go up by a few points, but the Thunder would close the gap. In the end, the Spurs were up 3, and Jeff Green missed a deep 3-point shot. The Spurs hit free throws to end the game, and the Thunder lose by 4.
Kevin Durant led the way for the Thunder with 30 points. Westbrook had 25, and Harden added 16 off the bench. Another tough game on Friday, as the Thunder take on the Magic in Orlando. Thunder Up!!!
