The Thunder headed to Orlando Friday night, with a depleted roster, to take on the Magic.
The team sent Jeff Green and Nenad Krstic to Boston, and DJ White and Mo Peterson to Charlotte. While the players have been shipped out, the team is waiting for Kendrick Perkins, Nate Robinson, and Nazr Mohammed to arrive in Oklahoma City.
In the first quarter, the Thunder got off to a very slow start, shooting 1-12 from the field. However, the team finished the quarter on 5-8 shooting, and trailed by 6 after 1. In the second quarter, more of the same occurred, with poor shooting by the Thunder, and not being able to stop Dwight Howard mounted very fast for the Thunder. The team closed it within 5 midway through the second quarter, but not any closer. Thunder trailed by 11 at half.
Third quarter was more of the same, as the Thunder shot better, but not well enough to close the gap. Thunder trailed by 10 after 3. In the fourth quarter, the Magic put the game out of hand early, and the Thunder couldn’t recover. Thunder lose by 23.
Kevin Durant finished with 23, Russell Westbrook added 18, and James Harden scored 16 off the bench. Big game vs. the Lakers on Sunday, and we’ll have our newly acquired players available. Thunder Up!!!
