Game 60: Thunder @ Hawks
The Thunder headed to Atlanta Friday night to take a solid Hawks team. After Kevin Durant rolled his ankle against the Pacers Wednesday night, he was questionable for the game. However, he was healthy and ended up starting.
The first quarter, the Thunder got off to a good start, shooting the ball well, including Durant, who played like he wasn’t even injured. Thunder led by 5 after 1. In the second quarter, both teams used short runs to take leads, but was a pretty steady quarter for both teams. Thunder led by 5 at half.
In the third quarter, the Thunder opened the quarter well, shooting well and locking down Atlanta on defense. Thunder led by 10 after 3. In the fourth quarter, the Thunder led the whole way. The game got close in the end, including a couple of questionable calls against the Thunder, but was sealed with free throws, and the Thunder win by 7.
Durant finished with 29 points, Russell Westbrook added 28, and James Harden added 17 off the bench. Eight games in 14 days beginning Sunday, starting with the Suns at home on Sunday. Thunder Up!!!
