The Thunder were in Philly to take on the Sixers Wednesday night.
The Thunder got off to a good shooting start in the first quarter, but so did the Sixers. Both offenses were on display early, and the Thunder trailed by 6 after 1. The second quarter slowed down, and the the Thunder were able to slow the Sixers on offense while climbing back into the game. Game tied at halftime. In the third quarter, both teams went back and forth on the lead, with the Thunder using a small run to close the quarter and lead by 2. In the fourth quarter, again the game went back and forth. The Sixers took the lead late, but Kevin Durant closed the gap, scoring five points late and sent the game into overtime. In overtime, not much scoring went on, but the Thunder held the Sixers to only 4 points, and made free throws down the stretch to earn a 5 point win.
Kevin Durant had 34 points and 16 rebounds, Russell Westbrook had 27 points and 12 assists, and Nick Collison added 13 points and 10 rebounds off the bench. The Thunder move to 7-1 in overtime this season. Friday home versus Detroit. Thunder Up!!!
