Jameer Nelson Out Tonight vs Knicks

By dannarferrara

According to Frank Isola of the New York Daily News, Orlando Magic point guard Jameer Nelson is not expected to play tonight against the New York Knicks.

This story was released via twitter.

Nelson has burned the Knicks in all of the head-to-head games this season, making him look to be a much better player than he actually is. Generally, against the Knicks, Nelson is automatic from the field. If you recall a few weeks back, Nelson had a huge fourth quarter and drained a bunch of three pointers to put the Knicks away.

Nelson has averaged 18.3 points, 5.0 assists, and 2.0 three pointers in 3 games against the Knicks this season.

Expect Gilbert Arenas and Chris Duhon to see extra playing time with Nelson out. Arenas has been known to be an explosive scorer in the past but has not been the same since being traded to the Magic. Do not fear Duhon, however, because as we all know – he is CHRIS DUHON. Us Knick fans know him all too well. Then again, playing against the bad Knicks defense, you never know what he could do.
