Game 73: Thunder v. Warriors
The Thunder hosted Golden State in the last game of a six-game homestand.
In the first quarter, the Thunder got off to a slow start, allowing the Warriors to get their offense going early. Trailed by 4 after 1. In the second quarter, the Thunder found their rhythm, scoring at will on offense and shutting down the Warriors on defense. Thunder led by 8 at half. In the third quarter, the Thunder played like they did in the first quarter, not making shots and not getting stops on defense. Thunder led by 1 after 3. In the fourth quarter, the Thunder was able to widen the lead to six late. However, the Warriors hit back to back 3s with 15 seconds left to send the game into overtime. In overtime, the Thunder got out early and was able to maintain the lead. The Warriors had a last-chance opportunity, but missed the shot, and the Thunder earn a 1-point victory.
Kevin Durant finished with 39, Serge Ibaka added 19, and James Harden added 14. Thunder finish the homestand 5-1, and move to 7-1 in overtime games. Quick turnaround, hitting the road to play the Suns tomorrow night. Thunder Up!!!
