George Hill Could Return for the Indiana Pacers this Week
The Indiana Pacers picked up hometown player George Hill via a trade with the San Antonio Spurs on this season’s NBA Draft night. The third year guard, who was born in Indianapolis and played college basketball at IUPUI, payed immediate dividends. Coming off of the Indiana bench, Hill had averaged nearly ten points a game, before suffering a fracture in his left ankle against the New Jersey Nets on January 31st.
Hill could return as early as Tuesday, when the Pacers will play the New Orleans Hornets, after missing 12 games with the injury. If Hill does not make the court Tuesday, he may also be available for Indiana’s next game, against the Charlotte Bobcats on Wednesday. The Pacers have a record of 5-7 without Hill in the lineup this season, and are 14-5 when he plays.
