New Jersey Nets’ Shawne Williams Out For Season
The New Jersey Nets lost a key bench player Wednesday as it was reported that guard Shawne Williams will miss the remainder of the season. Williams underwent surgery to remove a bone chip from his left foot Wednesday.
Williams was only averaging 4.5 points per game which is less than what he did during his good season with the New York Knicks last season.
This is the fourth injury that has plagued the Nets this season. First it was Brook Lopez, who has made his return, then Damion James and Keith Bogans went down for the season. Mehmet Okur also missed a significant amount of time this season.
