Kevin Love showed why he should be on television on a regular basis as he defeated Kevin Durant in the Finals of the Foot Locker 2012 NBA 3-Point Contest. Love escaped with a final round of 17 points as Durant couldn’t catch up.
Love had a head-to-head battle with the Miami Heat guard Mario Chalmers just to advance to the second round. It was a contest where the winner had to score in the upper teen’s, much less than we have seen in the past.
“Reg! That was for you baby!” exclaimed Love. Kevin was reaching out to his main man, another former UCLA alum, Reggie Miller during a TNT interview with Miller’s sister, Cheryl, immediately following the win.
If this isn’t a reason to put the Minnesota Timerwolves on television regularly, then their respectable 17-17 record should be. Tune in and follow Rant Sports for all your All-Star Weekend highlights and coverage from Orlando.
