Video: Danilo Gallinari Defends Fast Break By Hanging On Rim

With the Denver Nuggets nursing a one point lead with one minute left in the game, the Cleveland Cavaliers started a fast break.  Nuggets forward Danilo Gallinari was the only man back to stop the two man break.  Instead of stopping the ball or cutting off the pass, Gallo jumped in the air and dunked an invisible basketball.

I watch a lot of basketball, but I’ve never seen that.  The refs were instantly confused along with everyone watching.  Alonzo Gee dunked the ball while Gallo was hanging on the rim.

The Cavs went on to win, thanks to Kyrie Irving.  Maybe a little defense by Gallo on this play would have helped.
