UPDATE: San Antonio Spurs’ T.J. Ford “Officially” Retires Via Twitter
Shortly after posting about the announcement T.J. Ford made regarding an indefinite leave of absence yesterday afternoon on the San Antonio Spurs’ official webpage, he made an “official” retirement announcement on Twitter.
No one can really fault Ford for taking an early retirement from the NBA considering the difficulties he’s had with various neck / spine injuries from the very start of his NBA career; however, why the announcement was made via Twitter instead of just getting it out of the way in the announcement he made earlier in the day. It just goes to show what a big part social media plays in everyone’s lives these days.
