Boston Celtics Avery Bradley Shows Potential Against Wizards

By Rob Nelson

The Boston Celtics had some bad news on the injury front heading into their matchup with the hapless Washington Wizards. Ray Allen was ruled out with sore ankles and of course Mickael Pietrus was not going to play after his scary head injury on Thursday. This left Boston very thin at shooting guard. However, Boston would not suffer due to the injuries as Avery Bradley once again showed the flash that have many believe that he will be a real player in this league.

Bradley’s defense usually is his calling card, but it was his offense that sparked Boston last night. Bradley from the start of the game showed that he was both confident and aggressive on the offensive end. He would attack the basket with authority and get easy layups. His jump shot was in perfect form as he calmly went into a fluid motion that found nothing, but net. Bradley would lead the team with 23 points on an incredible 9-14 shooting.

Bradley has already proved that he can be a shut down defender in this league. The man is just tenacious at fighting to stick to his man. Last night he showed that his offense is catching up to his defense. if the young guard keeps up this improvement the sky is the limit for him. Judging by how far he has progressed in only his year and three quarters in the NBA, I plan on him reaching for the stars with his skill set. Remember Go Green Or Go Home!!!!!
