Chicago Bulls Sign Mike James For Rest Of Season

By Ryan Gaydos

The Chicago Bulls have announced that they will sign point guard Mike James for the remainder of the season. James is the 14th player added to the roster as the Bulls can still bring in one more player for the stretch run towards the playoffs.

This is the third time James has signed with the Bulls this season. He originally started out with the Bulls then was waived by the team in January. James signed two 10-day contracts between February and April before being signed for the rest of the season Thursday.

James has played in eight games for the Bulls this season. He is averaging 5.4 points and 3.1 assists per game. He last played for the Bulls March 17 when the team took on the Philadelphia 76ers. The Bulls won 89-80 but only played four points and did not score. He last scored against the Atlanta Hawks in February. The Bulls won that game with James scoring seven points in 13 minutes of play.

James has played nine seasons in the NBA for 10 teams. He averages 10.4 points per game and 3.6 assists per game as well.

The Bulls are still feeling depleted with Derrick Rose being out with back troubles. Chicago has been starting C.J. Watson in his place and using John Lucas III off the bench. James will be added depth to the Bulls’ bench.
