Allen Iverson Gets Interviewed During Game 6, Reveals He Still Wants To Play Pro Basketball
Allen Iverson returned to Philadelphia on Wednesday, where he made a name for himself as a star for the Philadelphia 76ers. During the second quarter of their game against the Boston Celtics, Iverson was interviewed by ESPN. In this interview, AI revealed that he is still trying to play professional basketball.
The interview was amazing to say the least. I know a lot of people hate Allen Iverson but you can not deny his passion for basketball. He truly loves playing the game. He may have rubbed a lot of people the wrong way, but you can not deny how much he loved taking the court.
I grew up during the prime of Allen Iverson. If he was on television, you had to watch. He was mesmerizing. He constantly attacked the basket, even though he was a lot smaller than most star players. He took an unreal amount of punishment, but it never held him back. He had a flair for the dramatic and always nailed key shots.
I hope that Allen Iverson is able to come back and play at some level. I am fairly certain he is done with the NBA. He just does not have those type of skills anymore. Father Time will win every battle and AI has discovered that over the last couple of years. However, his passion still involves playing pro basketball.
