Russell Westbrook Blocks Danny Green’s Shot During Halftime At Game 5
The Oklahoma City Thunder are rolling right now and Russell Westbrook is playing a big part in that. He might have his issues but he is a key member of the team. In fact, he is so focused that he won’t let anyone shoot uncontested, even during halftime. In Game 5, he block San Antonio Spurs guard Danny Green’s attempt after the buzzer.
That is a great move by Russell Westbrook. Boston Celtics forward Kevin Garnett has made a living off of blocking shots after the buzzer. It just goes to show how focused that some players can be. If the Thunder keep up this momentum, nothing will stop them from winning the title this year. They are on a roll right now and it does not look like that anyone can stop them.
Now if Russell Westbrook would learn to pass the ball to Kevin Durant in crunch time, he would be even better. His intensity is great, but he sometimes lets that take over his game. That is not a good thing. You have to harness your emotion. Westbrook is still young and he is still learning.
Russell Westbrook is going to have at his best for the Thunder to win the title. If he can continue to bring this level of focus, he can be one of the best players in the game. Blocking shots during halftime is a great way to get noticed, but he needs to bring a little bit more consistency to his game.
