Serge Ibaka Destroys Dwyane Wade Shot Attempt In Game 4
Serge Ibaka of the Oklahoma City Thunder has been in the news a lot recently and I bet he’s not happy about it. He made up for it with a massive swat of Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat that left Wade shaken up.
The fact that Ibaka blocked Wade is not surprising. Wade’s reaction was also pretty standard. He took a fall and hit the floor and immediately looked like someone clubbed him with a chair. Don’t worry, he was able to get right back up and not come off the floor. Quick healer, that guy is.
Not to go off on a Wade tangent, but that is why people are starting to hate him. No need for the theatrics. You got swatted and took a bump. Get up. Don’t lay on the ground in agony and then start play right away.
Serge Ibaka made headlines by calling out LeBron James and his defense. I believe that was more of a misunderstanding than anything, but it certainly made the news. Plays like this will help people forget what he said. Ibaka needs to control the paint for the Thunder to have a chance.
Game 4 is shaping up to be one for the ages. There should be a lot more highlights coming and a lot more people trying to draw sympathy fouls. If Serge Ibaka can keep this up, he’s going to be a star in the league. Just needs to work on other aspects of his defense.
