Mark Cuban Debates Skip Bayless On ESPN First Take, Makes Him Look Ridiculous

By Riley Schmitt

Mark Cuban, the owner of the Dallas Mavericks, is one of the smartest basketball minds on the planet. Skip Bayless, the ESPN troll, is not. Putting those two together on First Take Friday morning made for some great TV. Cuban went after Bayless for his repeated attacks on LeBron James.  These two quotes are the best from the battle.

“You don’t ever use facts, you don’t ever use substance.”

“First of all, you have the presumption that people care what you say. They don’t.”

Mark Cuban is perfectly right.  No one cares what Bayless has to say.  He gets thrown in front of the TV to make ridiculous statements without any proof.  He tries to make assumptions without actually breaking down basketball.  You can not just play a zone and succeed.  You need to work at it, but Skip does not get that.

This might be the best thing that ever happened to Skip.  Maybe looking like an idiot will help him realize that he is not the smartest guy on the planet.  He might need to use actual facts and logic now to debate people.  No more using baseless arguments that you can’t prove.

Props to Mark Cuban for going right at Bayless and putting him in his place.  If this happened more often on ESPN, I would watch.  Watching Bayless spout off with no one to check is not fun.  Having an actual basketball guy to debate him just works.
