Ben Gordon is going to have to get used to the Charlotte lifestyle.  The Detroit Pistons have traded him and a lottery protected first round pick in 2013 to the Charlotte Bobcats for Corey Maggette.  This gets the Pistons out from his ungodly contract, but at least he should get some shots in Charlotte.

This should all but seal up Thomas Robinson to the Bobcats.  They just traded for a shooting guard, so that means Brad Beal should be off of their board.  Ben Gordon just has not been the same since he left the Chicago Bulls a couple of years ago.  He struggled to get playing time in Detroit and he was not effective when he got in.  Bad recipe there.

I bet Ben Gordon wishes he could have taken a contract extension when the Bulls offered him.  He would make a killing knocking down open jumpers on that roster.  Now he has to play for the worst team in the league.  Maybe he will get bought out by I am not sure about that.  The Bobcats need players and Gordon just might end up playing big minutes for them.

Expect more trades to happen soon as we are inching closer to the draft.  This move gets Detroit salary relief and the Bobcats get an extra future pick. Everyone wins!  Hopefully Ben Gordon can turn his career around as he is a fun player to watch when he’s on his game.
