NBA Rumors: Chicago Bulls To Pursue Brandon Roy

NBA rumors are flying hard and fast over the last 24 hours and a lot of them center around Brandon Roy.  The man who retired due to knee injuries is attempting to make a comeback.  The most interesting team amongst his top suitors is none other than the Chicago Bulls.

As ex-Portland Trail Blazer Brandon Roy plans his comeback to the NBA, the Chicago Bulls, Dallas Mavericks, Indiana Pacers and Minnesota Timberwolves have emerged as serious suitors to sign the former All-Star guard, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

With Derrick Rose sidelined due to his ACL injury and Luol Deng on the trading block for a lottery pick, Roy makes a lot of sense in Chicago.  He gives them a two guard who can create his own shot and even run the point a bit while Rose recovers.  If the Bulls can turn Deng into a player like Harrison Barnes or Jeremy Lamb, they just might have retooled on the fly.

The pursuit of Roy will take some time.  There are a lot of teams who want his services.  I personally feel that the Bulls would give him the best shot at winning a title.  He would not have to play a ton of minutes, but he would still get his shot opportunities.  He would be playing with one of the best point guards in the league and on a solid roster.  It seems like a match made in heaven.

Roy to the Bulls is one of the NBA rumors that makes the most sense.  Let’s hope it happens.
