NBA Rumors: Phoenix Suns To Pursue Free Agent Ray Allen

Many people thought Ray Allen was ticketed for the Miami Heat, but the latest batch of NBA rumors have the Phoenix Suns emerging as a serious suitor for the free agent guard.  Although he is getting up there in age, the guard could be great in Phoenix.

The training staff in Phoenix is apparently filled with gods, so Allen would not have to worry about injury.  He might have the chance to play with Steve Nash, who would certainly get him a lot of open shots.  He would probably make a decent amount of coin, which is never a bad thing.

I would be shocked if Allen does not end up in Miami, but Phoenix is certainly an interesting choice.  They do not seem like they are going to make the playoffs, but Allen could be that extra boost they need.  Allen already has a ring so he might just want to play his career out in a spot he enjoys.  Playing with Nash would probably do that.

This is what makes NBA rumors in the Twitter era so great.  Things can change on a whim and it helps keep the fans up to date with what is going on.  This allows fan to project their roster out and debate with other people about signings and trades.  Instead of sounding like an idiot on a message board, you can see updates from players and teams as they happen.  We’ve come a long ways.
