NBA Rumors: Kris Humphries Could Go To Cleveland Cavaliers In Sign and Trade Deal

NBA rumors are all the rage these days and Kris Humphries has had his name involved with a couple of teams.  The Brooklyn Nets are looking to move the restricted free agent in a possible deal for Dwight Howard.  A third team is needed for that and it looks like the Cleveland Cavaliers are the team to do that.

This would be an interesting move for the Cavs.  They really do not need Humphries at the price that he is going to command.  Then again, name the last couple moves that they have made that made any sense.  Dion Waiters with the fourth pick of the draft?  Never giving LeBron James ample help?  Yeah, the Cavs aren’t exactly basketball geniuses.

Humphries would certainly get a lot of rebounds alongside of Anderson Varejao but that front court is not great offensively.  The only way this makes sense is if they try to move Varejao.  Otherwise, you have a ton of money tied up in two guys that are blocking two first round picks.  The NBA rumors around Anderson will pick up in the coming months as well.  He has also been rumored to be moved for quite some time.

This deal will not get done unless Howard gets moved.  At least that is how I am looking at it.  If they pick up Humphries for no reason, then I have some questions.  That team would be ok but they would not be able to threaten for a title or anything.  They would be a low level playoff team or a low lottery pick.  Those are not good things to be in today’s basketball world.

Expect more NBA rumors to fly in the coming days.  There is going to be a lot of movement soon.
