The NBA rumors surrounding current Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard could be compared to a wildfire burning out of control as now it looks like the Los Angeles Clippers could be the fourth team involved in the potential trade that would send Howard to the Brooklyn Nets creating a new big three on the east coast.
The trade would involve numerous players and draft picks. In the proposed trade, the Nets would send Brook Lopez along with three future first round draft picks in the 2013, 2015, and 2017 NBA Drafts. The Nets would also send Kris Humphries in a sign-and-trade deal to the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Clippers would acquire MarShon Brooks from the Nets with the Clippers sending the Magic a lottery-protected first round draft pick to the Magic.
More players have the potential of being added to the mix as well. The Clippers would only be in the deal to stop the Los Angeles Lakers from acquiring Howard in-exchange for Andrew Bynum which still seems to be on the table. Every team has the possibility of winning from this trade scenario.
The Houston Rockets are also still in trade talks for Howard as they seem to be the third and final team interested out of the Nets and Lakers. The Rockets are still trying to gather pieces to make a trade for Howard. The Rockets are down but not out, however, with the Magic checking up on Lopez, it seems like Howard-to-Brooklyn seems like a possibility more and more each day.
