Antawn Jamison Agrees To Deal With Los Angeles Lakers

By Riley Schmitt

Antawn Jamison is going back to a contender.  The long time veteran has agreed to a deal with the Los Angeles Lakers.  Jamison could very well be the scoring threat that the team needs off the bench.

If you were to look at the Lakers for a need, it would be the bench.  They are not exactly boasting a ton of talent there.  Jamison gives them a guy to play multiple positions and score off of the bench.  That is exactly the type of thing the  Lakers need.  If Jamison can show any of the scoring ability that he has in recent years, they will be fine.

This might mean that the Devin Ebanks does not return.  However, if he does come back, that will be quite the scoring punch.  You can go with a weird lineup featuring Ebanks, Jamison and Josh McRoberts.  It’s not exactly normal, but it would score points.

Antawn Jamison has been in high demand but the Lakers were the best fit if he wanted to go after a ring.  He has done a lot in his career and a ring is about the only thing left that he needs to do.  He can score in a lot of different ways, which separates him from some of the other Lakers.

The Lakers have had a very good offseason and might have just reshaped the team in order to become title contenders.  This is going to be an interesting team to watch.
