LeBron James Threads The Needle To Kevin Durant For The Fast Break Dunk
LeBron James is the best player on the planet but somehow his passing gets overlooked. That should change after Sunday when he threw a three-quarter court bounce pass between two guys to Kevin Durant for the fast break dunk during Team USA’s first game of the 2012 Summer Olympics.
That is probably going to be the play of the tournament. That pass was simply superb. There are about three guys on the planet who could fit that pass in there and LeBron James fits that bill. The Olympics are going to show how good that his passing ability really is.
See, LeBron James does not need to worry about scoring the ball on this team. There are plenty of guys who will shoot and score. LeBron can just feed guys on the break with some creative passes. He is not going to dominate any games by scoring but his passing is certainly fantastic.
Team USA should be expected to win the gold. In fact, they should not really be involved in a close game. They simply have too much talent for other teams to match up with. If LeBron is throwing passes like this, no team is going to beat them. He is simply amazing when he has the ball.
There will certainly be more highlights from the team during the Olympics. It might be hard to find one to beat this, but expect LeBron to continue to supply the highlights. That pass might not be beat for a long time.
