Is there anything better than Jay-Z having some kind of ownership within the Brooklyn Nets organization? At this point, no. There is nothing better.
How about Jay-Z’s lovely wife Beyonce wearing a Nets t-shirt at the Made In America Festival this past weekend in Philadelphia? That could take the cake. Beyonce donned the sportique shirt with a gold necklace, some gold rings and some bracelets. She was in Philadelphia supporting her husband, the man behind the Made In America festival.
While Jay-Z has his daughter and his wife to worry about now, he also has to get his new team on the court and to help them win a championship in some way, shape or form. The Nets will be opening the Barclays Center and the 2012-13 NBA season on Nov. 1 against its New York City rivals the New York Knicks.
Debuting for the Nets this season will be Joe Johnson, who was acquired in a trade via the Atlanta Hawks, where the Hawks acquired all of the Nets bench at that time. Although the team failed to get Dwight Howard, there is a new sense or revival in the borough. The Nets and its fans are actually thinking championship this season.
Deron Williams, Kris Humphries and Brook Lopez are all returning to the team as well in 100 percent health, which could give them an even better edge since Humphries has drastically improved over the past two years and the drama of Kim Kardashian may be behind him.
With all that being said, you will definitely catch Jay-Z and Beyonce sitting courtside this season at a Nets game.
