In March the Golden State Warriors acquired center Andrew Bogut from the Milwaukee Bucks and he did not play a game with the team due to an ankle injury. In 2011-2012 he played in 12 games averaging 11.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 2 blocks, on 44.9 percent shooting and 60.9 percent from the free throw line.

Career numbers are 12.7 points, 9.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.6 blocks, on 52.2 percent from the field and 57.4 percent from the free throw line.

His strengths are his defense, passing and efficiency. Weaknesses include staying healthy, is not dominant offensively in the low-post and free throws.

Bogut gives head coach Mark Jackson the opportunity to slow the offense down with him in the low-post and it gives the opportunity for David Lee to excel from the high-post. Warriors will still run on occasion, yet when it’s not there reset the offense and make the effort getting the ball into the post.

With the great shooters on the roster in Richard JeffersonHarrison Barnes, Brandon RushKlay Thompson and Stephen Curry and Lee able to hit a mid-range jumper he will get a number of chance where teams will not double team him. In 2009-2010 he set a career high of 15.9 points per game and there’s a good chance of setting a new one.

Also, being strong on the offensive glass adds to that possibility.

Some questions that still remains is will he be ready for the start of the regular season after recovering from the ankle injury? Will his minutes be limited to start the season?

Even with those questions still unanswered expect a season of 13-17 points, 10-12 rebounds, 3-4 assists, 2-2.5 blocks, on 52-55 percent from the field and 60-65 percent from the free throw line.
