Turnovers Hurt, but Hustle Helps Indiana Pacers
The Indiana Pacers will be looking for several new bench players to support their established starting lineup. Going into the 2012-2013 NBA season, this fresh group of new Pacers players will have to take some time to adjust to their new team, coaching staff, playbook, and playing time.
With growing adjustments, come growing pains. Still, even after a few stumbles, the Indiana Pacers have brought in some new talent, that has looked good so far when meshed with their stable starting line.
The Pacers had 13 turnovers in their first preseason win against the Minnesota Timberwolves last Friday night, and accrued 20 more turnover in a win on Tuesday against the Atlanta Hawks. The Pacers have found success in this young preseason on both ends of the floor, but have also seemed a bit disjointed, due to the constant change of new lineups that they are trying to put together for the upcoming regular season.
For every misstep that the Indiana Pacers have had in the preseason, they have seemed to step back up, and find a way to make things right. It will still take time to make things gel for this team, but if the talent can step up above the turnovers, then the Indiana Pacers could prove to be just as good (if not better) then they were when they shocked the NBA last season.
The Pacers will have to make some cuts down from the current 18-player roster, but after a solid star to this preaseason, those cuts will not be easy ones.
