Aaron Brooks is finally back from China, and he wants to make an impact with the Sacramento Kings this season. He had quite the adventure during his first game with the team, as he ended up loosing a tooth during the game. It appeared to be a fake tooth, but it still probably hurt a lot.
Brooks was fighting with Kirk Hinrich for the ball when Brooks dove to the floor. Hinrich dove as well and his elbow ended up driving Brooks’ face first into the court. During the game, you could see the tooth pop out. Of course, they decided that we needed to have that image burned into our heads so they showed it about 100 times on the replay – and yes, it was disgusting every time.
In all seriousness, this might end up being the most notable thing to happen to Brooks this year. He simply does not look good; he played out of control and there were normally bad things happening when he was on the floor. Not exactly how you make your mark with a new team. Although, it is a long season – he has time to turn it around, but if he played better, the Kings could have won.
This will probably be all over the highlight shows this week. It was extremely quirky, especially because he went right back in. There was no blood, which is why I think it was a fake tooth. It could have been real and if that was the case, Brooks might be the toughest guy in the league.
