Andrew Bynum Now Has Issue With Other Knee
The Philadelphia 76ers prize acquisition during the off-season Andrew Bynum has yet to take the court for the organization this season and recently the team stated that he would be sidelined even longer than expected while dealing with nagging issues in his right knee.
The injury specifically is a bone bruise in the knee and Friday night prior to the 76ers game versus the Utah Jazz, Bynum spoke to members of the media and let them know that he also was dealing with a bone bruise to his left knee as well. The Sixers were aiming for Bynum returning to basketball activities sometime around December 10, however now in light of this new development that date is up in the air and there is no certain when he will be able to get back on the court.
Bynum had the following to say about the current situation, “I had a little bit of a setback. Just working through some issues with the right knee, I kind of have a mirror thing going on with the left knee. I don’t know what’s going on. The doctors are saying it’s a weakened cartilage state, so we kind of wait, I guess. We can’t do anything. I just have to wait for the cartilage to get strong. It’s the same exact spot (as the right knee) with the cartilage. Just doing routine things and it started swelling up. No blunt-force injury or anything like that. It’s the same timetable still.”
On thing is for certain the Sixers would love to get Bynum on the court with his fellow teammates so they can build some type of chemistry before it gets to close to the start of the playoffs seeing as to how he has never had any real time on the court with any of his current teammates.
