For the first time in nearly two years, Miami Heat superstar forward LeBron James leads the NBA in jersey sales.

The last time that the reigning back-to-back NBA Most Valuable Player sat atop this list was April 2011 and as recently as April of this year, James was ranked fourth on this list.

James had the following to say in regards to leading the NBA in this category: “It’s an honor to be No. 1. I give all of the credit to the fans. I would also like to thank all of my supporters and the Miami Heat organization. Let’s keep it going.”

Coming in second place to James, as he did in much of everything last season, was Oklahoma City Thunder all-star forward and USA Basketball Olympic teammate Kevin Durant, followed by Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant in third, New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony and injured Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose at fifth place.

Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo finished in sixth, James’ Heat teammate Dwyane Wade came in seventh place and the Lakers’ Dwight Howard finished in ninth sandwiched in between a pair of Los Angeles Clippers with Blake Griffin in eighth and Chris Paul 10th. Rounding out the top 15 were Brooklyn Nets point guard Derron Williams, Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook, Lakers point guard Steve Nash, Celtics forward Paul Pierce and Dallas Mavericks power forward Dirk Nowitzki.

Meanwhile in the team jersey sales, the Knicks led the NBA in that category for the first time since 2004 and there is no doubt that former Knicks point guard and current member of the Houston Rockets Jeremy Lin had something to do with that total.
